MetroED "Code Red" a False Alarm

Metropolitan Education District's campus at 760 Hillsdale Avenue, San Jose, was briefly under lockdown this afternoon after a "Code Red" was called over the district's radio. Since the person who called in the "Code Red" could not be verified, the campus was put into a lockdown mode as a precaution.

Central County Occupational Center and Metropolitan Adult Education Program students were released from the "Code Red" at approximately 3:30 p.m. after the safety of students and staff members was verified.

MetroED is the largest career-oriented educational organization in Santa Clara County, comprised of high school and adult career technical, academic and community programs.

MetroED annually provides more than 30,000 diverse students with the skills to help them be productive, income-earning and tax-paying contributors to Silicon Valley.
